Epson’s Environmental Commitment
We strive to create innovative products that are reliable, recyclable and energy efficient. Better products that use fewer resources help to ensure a better future for us all.

Epson target 2050 – 90% reduction of co2 emissions across the lifecycle of all products and services by reducing co2 emissions to a level below the earth’s absorption capacity, and adopting our manufacturing processes to only use recycled resources.

At the same time, as a member of the ecosystem, Epson will continue to work towards restoring and protecting biodiversity together with local communities.

Epson has set 3 key conditions in order to work towards achieving “Environmental Vision 2050”

Reduction of CO2 emissions by 90% across the life cycle of all products and services by 2050.
Inclusion of all products in the Reduce, Reuse and Recycling Loop.
Reduction of direct CO2 emissions by 90% and elimination of global warming gas emissions other than CO2.

In 2002, Epson Australia became one of the first printer vendors in Australia to achieve certification to the International Standard ISO 14001 – Environmental Management System.

The NSW Energy and Water Green Globe Awards had awarded Epson a Gold Medal in 2006 as part of the Energy Smart Business Program for having over 75% of its operation energy efficient.

Epson Australia has also achieved finalist status three times for the 10 Year Sustainability Life Award at the Gold Green Globe awards.

Epson Australia continuously sets aggressive targets for reduction of CO2 gas emissions, and re-uses or recycles (diverts from landfill) at least 60% of all waste emanating from its Head Office site in North Ryde.
